Nat King Cole: Unforgettable (1951)

 



61 years ago today, on February 15th, 1965, a day after Valentine's Day, the world lost one of the greatest legends in the history of show business. One of the greatest voices in the world of music. The one and only Nat King Cole. As we end this week of love and to keep celebrating black heritage month, I want to pay tribute to him by remembering and listening to his songs that were recognized and most popular, like my favorite of all, "Unforgettable" back in 1951.


It's a classic ballad that has stood the test of time, enchanting listeners with its smooth melody and heartfelt lyrics. The song speaks to the deep and enduring impact that a loved one can have on an individual's life. The lyrics convey a sense of awe and appreciation for the person who is deemed 'unforgettable,' emphasizing the unique and indelible mark they leave on the singer's heart. Hoy, se inicia la semana del amor, y como estamos anticipados el d铆a de San Valentin, y como soy el fan de la m煤sica rom谩ntica, me gustar铆a escuchar y recordar las canci贸nes rom谩nticas que nos tocan el coraz贸n. La semana reci茅n pasada, perdimos a uno de los gigantes del mundo de la m煤sica de salsa, Willie Col贸n. Nos dej贸 el s谩bado pasado f铆sicamente, pero en nuestro coraz贸n, vivir谩n para siempre su m煤sica y su legado que han sido admirado en el mundo de la m煤sica por tantas generaciones.
